A program searched CourtListener — a free, public database of millions of actual U.S. court opinions — for decisions that state this rule in their own words, and recorded the real results. Every case links straight to the opinion so you can read it yourself. Because they are retrieved from a database of real decisions, they cannot be "hallucinated" citations.
